About Lync
Three decades in the dirt
A family-owned, vertically integrated Utah developer and builder — turning raw ground into communities of enduring value.
About us
Built in-house
One team finds the ground, plans the neighborhood, builds the roads, and constructs the homes — for our own communities and for national homebuilders, with more demand than inventory. To us, real estate isn't property — it's connection.

What we turn
Meet the founder
Pat Burns

Founder & Owner
Licensed General Contractor with 30+ years turning raw land into finished communities.
Pat Burns is a Licensed General Contractor with over 30 years of experience in construction and land development. His work spans residential, commercial, industrial, and mining projects, with a focus on guiding developments from raw land through entitlement, infrastructure, and vertical construction.
He began his career at 19 as a framer and quickly moved into supervising crews and managing field operations. Since then, he has led a wide range of projects across the Intermountain West, building a reputation for practical execution and a clear understanding of the full development process.
Today, Pat is the Founder and Principal of Lync Construction & Development, a vertically integrated development company focused on building well-planned communities through disciplined execution and long-term partnerships.
Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family at their ranch in Idaho.
How we work
What we stand behind
One team owns every step — developer and builder in one — and delivers on time and on budget. The relationships we keep with landowners, cities, builders, and buyers are the proof.
Our process
- 01
Due diligence
Vet zoning, environmental, infrastructure, and legal risk before committing.
- 02
Acquisition
Secure the ground — purchase, lease, or option to buy.
- 03
Re-zone
Change the property's zoning to fit the plan.
- 04
Preliminary approval
Conceptual sign-off against zoning, land-use, and community standards.
- 05
Final approval
Detailed plans and permits cleared — ready to build.
- 06
Disposition
Sell, lease, or transfer the finished, entitled property.
